The Australasian Association of Professional Organisers
The Australasian Association of Professional Organisers (AAPO) is the industry association for Professional Organisers throughout Australasia.
As a cutting edge leader AAPO's mission is to:
- support its members and their businesses;
- set industry standards; and
- educate the public on the value of Professional Organising.
is to be internationally recognised as Australasia’s premier industry association for leading and developing Professional Organisers.
The role of a Professional Organiser is many and varied. Our members offer services ranging from time management, storage design, event management, decluttering services and system development in your home, workplace and business.
A professional organiser can contribute significantly to the effectiveness of your office and home, tailoring services to suit whatever area of your life needs organising.

- Say No. It doesn’t have to be an absolute ‘no’. Maybe you’re more comfortable with “No, I can’t do it now, but next week is fine” or “No, I can’t assist, but I know someone who can”. Remember, we train people how to treat us. If you are going to do everything for everyone, they will always expect it. What’s one ‘no’ you could say today which will assist you to be more productive? Roz Howland, Productivity Professional
- Use a hanging 24 pocket organiser (normally used for jewellery) to keep medicine and first aid supplies organised and visible. Wendy Hanes, Skeletons in the Closet
- Kids puzzles can cause parents a real headache. You can spend half your time each week trying to find and sort the pieces! To keep your sanity, as well as your kids puzzles sorted, purchase some snap lock bags. They are great for storing the puzzle board and pieces separately, so they don’t get lost.
1. You can purchase them in various sizes, depending on what you need. 2. They are clear, so you can see what puzzle is inside. 3. They help teach kids to put one puzzle away before they start another. 4. You are cheap and you can purchase them from supermarkets. 5. You can label them with a permanent marker. Tanya Lea, Declutter Home
- Tame your linen cupboard by only keeping one or two sets of sheets per bed in your home. I have been trialing only using one set of sheets for the last four months, it works! Allocate a day for each bed to be washed, dried and made each week. This helps avoid long hours of washing and making beds and your linen cupboard is free for bulkier and more frequently used items like towels. Carolyn Verhoef, Outside the Box Solutions
While AAPO members adhere to a code of ethics, AAPO can take no responsibility for any of the companies or individuals on this site. Please ensure you check suitability before booking any service.
